New Bill Would Increase Contract Oversight At Arlington

Law360, New York (September 29, 2010, 1:38 PM EDT) -- Following revelations this summer that thousands of graves at Arlington National Cemetery may be mismarked, a bipartisan group of senators has introduced legislation designed to improve the U.S. Army's management of contractors tracking burial records and handling cemetery operations.

S. 3860 was introduced in the Senate on Tuesday by subcommittee on contracting oversight chairman Claire McCaskill, D-Mo., ranking member Scott Brown, R-Mass., and Sens. Joe Lieberman, I-Conn., Susan Collins, R-Maine, and Richard Burr, R-N.C.
