Pentagon Capital, SEC Prepare For 2011 Trial Date

Law360, New York (September 29, 2010, 5:50 PM EDT) -- A judge has scheduled an early 2011 trial for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s case accusing hedge fund adviser Pentagon Capital Management PLC of reaping $62 million through a deceptive market-timing scheme.

Judge Robert W. Sweet set aside possible trial dates in January and March during a brief hearing on Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York. Attorneys noted that they expect the trial to last two weeks and for there to be no jury.
