Dana Hits Back At Retirees Moves to Keep Benefits

Law360, New York (March 5, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Bankrupt auto parts maker Dana Corp. has claimed that moves by a group of retirees to block a motion to terminate non-pension benefits threaten to derail the company’s bid to emerge from Chapter 11.

In a response to the sole objection filed in the bankruptcy court by a group of non-union retirees, the debtors said the committee’s arguments were full of “sound and fury,” but lacked any legal merit and should be overruled by the court.
