Blagojevich Lawyers Leave Case, Citing CJA Issues

Law360, New York (October 1, 2010, 3:17 PM EDT) -- A judge agreed on Friday to excuse two prominent Chicago lawyers from representing former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich at his retrial next year, granting the lawyers' request to withdraw from the case.

Judge James Zagel of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois approved a motion by Samuel F. and Samuel E. Adam to leave the headline-grabbing corruption case after representing Blagojevich for more than a year, the Chicago Tribune reported.
