Judge Cuts Fosamax Award From $8M To $1.5M

Law360, New York (October 4, 2010, 7:13 PM EDT) -- A judge has sliced $6.5 million from an $8 million award won by plaintiff Shirley Boles in a product liability case against Merck & Co. over Fosamax, an osteoporosis drug, but upheld the verdict despite claims of inappropriate conduct by an attorney.
