Delta Sues LAX, City Over Airport Terminal Lease

Law360, New York (March 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Delta Air Lines Inc. has filed a lawsuit over its lease with Los Angeles International Airport, seeking a declaratory judgment and an injunction to stop the airport and the City of Los Angeles from terminating the agreement.

The suit, filed in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York on Friday, says that the city is seeking to “wrongfully” deprive Delta of the property. The airline is also seeking a judgment that the city is in breach of its lease, and in violation...
