Starbucks Challenges "Starstruck" Entrepreneur

Law360, New York (March 6, 2007, 12:00 AM EST) -- Starbucks Corp. is once again gearing up to protect its trademark overseas, the company said Tuesday, taking aim at an Indian businesswoman's plan to expand her herbal skin care empire with a chain of “Starstruck” coffee shops.

The world’s largest chain of coffee shops filed a challenge in India against prominent entrepreneur Shahnaz Husain, seeking to prevent her Shahnaz Husain Group from entering the nation's caffeine market with “Starstruck” on its java jackets.
