Amici Give Consumers Boost In AT&T Contract Spat

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 7:20 PM EDT) -- Consumers suing AT&T Mobility LLC over the enforceability of class action bans in arbitration agreements have received support from more than a dozen organizations that have urged the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold rulings that strike down the bans.

Groups such as the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the National Academy of Arbitrators and the Consumer Federation of America filed amicus briefs in support of Vincent and Liza Concepcion this week, Deepak Gupta, an attorney representing the Concepcions, said Thursday.
