DHS Touts Record-Breaking Immigration Enforcement

Law360, New York (October 8, 2010, 1:01 PM EDT) -- Under the Obama administration, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security has conducted more audits and debarred more employers for hiring illegal immigrants than during the entire tenure of the previous administration, officials said.

The number of deportations of illegal aliens, including convicted criminals, in fiscal year 2010 is “record-breaking,” DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Director John Morton said on Wednesday.
