Big E-Mail Attachment Sparks BofA Trade Secrets Suit

Law360, New York (October 7, 2010, 6:54 PM EDT) -- A recently laid-off computer programmer at Bank of America Corp. was sued Thursday for allegedly stealing proprietary information before he left the company.

Bank of America and a subsidiary, Banc of America Securities LLC, lodged their suit in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, accusing Rao V. Chalasani of misappropriating trade secrets and of breaching his fiduciary duty and duty of loyalty.
