Temp Agency Manpower Beats Vacation Benefits Suit

Law360, New York (October 8, 2010, 1:43 PM EDT) -- Temporary employee staffing and consulting agency Manpower Inc. has defeated a putative class action alleging it violated California law by failing to pay vacation time due to workers at the time of their termination.

Judge Roger T. Benitez of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of California granted Manpower's motion for summary judgment Thursday, saying the only named plaintiff in the case did not accrue any vacation time for which she could be compensated.
