Entergy Faces DOJ Antitrust Probe

Law360, New York (October 12, 2010, 4:17 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Justice is investigating Entergy Corp. for potential anti-competitive conduct at its utility units in Arkansas, Texas, Mississippi, New Orleans and Louisiana, the company said Tuesday.

The New Orleans-based company released few details, saying the scope of the investigation was still being determined and that it would cooperate with investigators.

"It's at the very early stages of investigation," said Entergy spokesman Michael Burns.
