Burger King Text Ad Settlement Gets Final Approval

Law360, New York (October 13, 2010, 6:55 PM EDT) -- A federal judge greenlighted a breach of contract settlement Wednesday in which Burger King Corp. will pay $510,000 to a class of consumers who allegedly received unauthorized text message advertisements from the fast food chain.

In her judgment granting final approval of the class action settlement, Judge Marcia G. Cooke of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida said it was fundamentally fair, adequate and reasonable.
