US Atty Wants Up To 45 Years For Nicholson

Law360, New York (October 18, 2010, 3:18 PM EDT) -- The U.S. attorney prosecuting financial fraudster James M. Nicholson is arguing he should serve up to the maximum sentence — 45 years in prison.

Nicholson, who cost investors more than $100 million in the collapse of Westgate Capital Management LLC, is a practiced liar who stole even from his own family, Preet Bharara, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said Friday in a sentencing memorandum filed in Manhattan federal court.
