Hi-Tech Files Bid Protest Over Army Beds

Law360, New York (October 20, 2010, 1:35 PM EDT) -- Government contractor Hi-Tech Beds Systems Corp. has filed a bid protest against the U.S. Army, saying it disregarded its own standards in order to buy cheap barracks beds for a base at Ft. Carson, Colo.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the General Services Administration ignored their standard for Army cots and went with cheap substitutes from KLN Steel Products Co. LLC and Dehler Manufacturing Co. Inc., Hi-Tech said in a bid protest filed Monday in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
