Former Greenberg Associate Admits To $500K Theft

Law360, New York (October 20, 2010, 1:04 PM EDT) -- A former Greenberg Traurig LLP associate who specialized in bankruptcy and commercial foreclosure pled guilty Wednesday to federal charges related to a scheme to steal more than $500,000 from the firm.

Michael Shaw, 37, was charged with one count of bank fraud in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and faces up to 30 years in prison and a fine of up $250,000. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 5, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
