Sharp, HP, Others Sued Over Cell Phone Patents

Law360, New York (October 21, 2010, 12:48 PM EDT) -- Intellect Wireless Inc. has accused Hewlett-Packard Co., Sharp. Corp. and other electronics makers of violating two patents for picture text messaging technology on cell phones, PDAs and pagers.

Intellect lodged its complaint Wednesday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, targeting HP, Sharp, Palm Inc., Dell Inc. and Garmin International Inc. had violated its patent rights with their wireless portable communication devices.
