Judge Speedily Dismisses Stanford’s Latest Request

Law360, New York (October 25, 2010, 6:27 PM EDT) -- A judge has dismissed a motion by Texas financier Robert Allen Stanford, imprisoned since June 2009 for an alleged $8 billion Ponzi scheme, to release him pending trial for violations of the Speedy Trial Act, saying Stanford himself was responsible for most of the delay.
