Antitrust Claim Nixed In Gorlick's Muffler-Pact Suit

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A federal judge has trimmed a suit that car parts dealer Gorlick Distribution Centers LLC brought against rival Allied Exhaust Systems Inc., which allegedly conspired with a manufacturer to shut Gorlick out of an exhaust systems market.

Judge Richard A. Jones of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington threw out Gorlick's Sherman Act claims against Allied, saying there is no evidence that the company hatched a plot with manufacturer Car Sound Exhaust System Inc. to curtail sales of exhaust systems to Gorlick....
