Dems Demand Probe Of DOD Subcontractor Program

Law360, New York (October 28, 2010, 1:15 PM EDT) -- A group of U.S. House of Representatives Democrats led by Rep. Yvette D. Clark, D-N.Y., is seeking an investigation into the U.S. Department of Defense's small-business subcontracting program, saying the program may actually be benefiting large companies at small subcontractors' expense.

The lawmakers on Tuesday released a letter sent to U.S. Government Accountability Office acting Comptroller Gene L. Dodaro requesting an investigation of the DOD's Comprehensive Subcontracting Plan Test Program, established by Congress in 1990 to increase federal contracts for small businesses.
