GAO Denies Protest In Battle For Warhead Contract

Law360, New York (October 29, 2010, 6:23 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a conflict of interest protest from Ellwood National Forge Co., which had tried to stop a rival from competing for a warhead assembly contract after it hired away one of Ellwood's former employees.

In its decision, the GAO wrote that Ellwood's accusation against the former employee was not enough to support a finding of an organizational conflict of interest, as the protest claimed.
