Army Properly Rejected Medfinity X-Ray Bid: GAO

Law360, New York (November 1, 2010, 3:11 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has denied a protest by Medfinity LLC, which claimed that the U.S. Army improperly rejected its lower price quote for a dental filmless imaging system.

In a decision filed Thursday, the GAO concluded that Medfinity failed to comply with the terms of the Army's request for quotations, which was issued on a “brand name or equal” basis, so the Army was correct in issuing the purchase order to Dexis LLC.
