Rothstein Associate Sentenced To 4 Years

Law360, New York (November 3, 2010, 5:33 PM EDT) -- An alleged gangster snared in a money-laundering sting set up by convicted Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein and federal investigators was sentenced to four years in prison Wednesday.

Roberto Settineri, 42 — who prosecutors claimed had ties to a New York crime family but who the defense maintained was a simple wine merchant — could spend less than two years in a minimum security prison for conspiring to move money Rothstein stole from his clients, defense attorney Jeffrey S.
