Wackenhut, State Dept. Settle Severance Pay Claims

Law360, New York (November 8, 2010, 6:25 PM EST) -- The Civilian Board of Contract Appeals has accepted a settlement between Wackenhut International Inc. and the U.S. Department of State, resolving a dispute over severance pay for security guards assigned to State Department locations in Greece.

The CBCA noted that the matter had been settled on Oct. 28, including full payment of the settlement amount, but its Thursday decision did not provide details of the deal or the amount initially claimed by the contractor.
