Ex-Bristol Myers Worker Pleads Guilty To IP Theft

Law360, New York (November 5, 2010, 5:59 PM EDT) -- A former employee of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. has pled guilty to stealing trade secrets from the company in order to set up a competing business in his native country of India.

Shalin Jhaveri, 30, entered a guilty plea to one count of trade secrets theft on Friday in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York. He faces a sentence of up to 10 years in prison and a possible fine of $250,000, according to the the office of U.S. Attorney for the...
