Citigroup Rebuffed Again In Parmalat Case

Law360, New York (March 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Citigroup Inc.’s attempt to move a case brought by Parmalat SpA to Italy has once again been denied, as a New Jersey appeals court rejected the financial group’s motion for a change of venue.

The court’s decision follows a state superior court judge’s order in January that New Jersey – the site of Parmalat’s former American flagship, Parmalat U.S.A., and its subsidiary, Farmland Dairies – was as good a setting as any in this convoluted, multi-language case.
