O2 Micro Must Face "Sham Litigation" Claims

Law360, New York (March 19, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Integrated circuits maker O2 Micro International Ltd. has lost its bid to dodge allegations that it violated unfair-competition laws by filing allegedly baseless patent suits against the customers of its rival, Monolithic Power Systems Inc.

In a ruling issued March 14 in the Northern District of California, Judge Claudia Wilken denied O2 Micro’s motion for summary judgment to dismiss Monolithic’s claims that it filed “sham litigation” in bad faith.
