Real Estate Atty Cops To $1.7M Bank Fraud

Law360, New York (November 10, 2010, 7:05 PM EST) -- A real estate attorney and former Rhode Island state senator pled guilty Wednesday to scoring $1.7 million in fraudulent loans and mortgages by lying to banks about his income and other assets.

Christopher B. Maselli pled guilty to eight counts of bank fraud in the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island, where he is scheduled to be sentenced on Feb. 10.
