Ex-Fla. Senate Head To Fight Bribery Charges Again

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 5:43 PM EST) -- A federal appeals court will rehear its decision to overturn the bribery conviction of a former president of the Florida Senate accused of paying off another official to secure his vote for the purchase of a soccer complex.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit agreed on Wednesday to rehear its decision that overturned the bribery conviction of Wyon Dale Childers, who already served most of a 42-month prison sentence for bribery while he was an Escambia County commissioner.
