Kinder Morgan, Investor Class Near $200M Settlement

Law360, New York (November 12, 2010, 7:09 PM EST) -- A Kansas state court on Friday considered a $200 million settlement between a class of Kinder Morgan Inc. shareholders and the buyout group that took the pipeline owner private through controversial and allegedly unfair means in 2007.

Judge David E. Bruns held a hearing in the District Court of Shawnee County to assess the fairness of the stipulation, which would provide relief to anyone who held Kinder Morgan shares between Aug. 28, 2006, and May 30, 2007, the day the deal closed.
