Lord Black Was A Corporate Knave: Prosecutors

Law360, New York (March 20, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Conrad Black and three former associates were thieves who stole millions of dollars from shareholders, prosecutors told jury members at the opening of the one-time media baron’s fraud trial in Chicago on Tuesday.

U.S. prosecutor Jeffrey Cramer told the federal courtroom the Canadian-born lord and his associates siphoned $60 million from the dismantling of Chicago-based Hollinger International – money that rightly belonged to investors.
