Settlement Talks Break Down In Tyson Don, Doff MDL

Law360, New York (November 16, 2010, 6:21 PM EST) -- Settlement discussions have fallen apart in multidistrict litigation over whether Tyson Foods Inc. failed to pay factory workers for donning and doffing protective gear, forcing a federal judge to lift a stay he granted in the class action.

Judge Clay D. Land of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia lifted the stay Monday. He initially granted the 90-day stay on Sept. 22, after the parties asked for time to settle the case without extensive litigation.
