Bristol-Myers Sales Rep Sues For Overtime Pay

Law360, New York (November 18, 2010, 5:03 PM EST) -- A former Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. employee brought a putative class action Thursday accusing the pharmaceuticals giant of misclassifying its sales representatives as exempt from overtime pay in order to drive down labor costs.

The complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, claims Bristol-Myers Squibb unlawfully treats its territory business managers, pharmaceutical representatives and sales reps as salaried professionals exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act
