Sun Life Fails To Escape ERISA Death Benefits Suit

Law360, New York (November 19, 2010, 3:56 PM EST) -- A federal judge has refused to throw out a putative class action alleging Sun Life Assurance Co. of Canada violated the Employee Retirement Income Security Act by secretly investing money belonging to life insurance beneficiaries and keeping profits for itself.
