Air Force Mistakenly Shares Bid Info On $35B Contract

Law360, New York (November 22, 2010, 5:28 PM EST) -- The U.S. Air Force reportedly mixed up messages containing the details of confidential bids on a $35 billion refueling tanker contract, inadvertently delivering  to rivals Boeing Co. and European Aeronautic Defence and Space Co. sensitive information about the other firm's bid.


Air Force spokesman Col. Les Kodlick told Defense News Friday there had been a “clerical error,” which resulted in limited amounts of information being provided to the aerospace giants about their competitor's offer.
