Judge OKs Creditors' Bid To Probe Blockbuster Ch. 11

Law360, New York (November 23, 2010, 6:01 PM EST) -- Unsecured creditors in Blockbuster Inc.’s Chapter 11 case have received a green light to investigate events leading up to the filing, including negotiations with investor Carl Icahn and other lenders on a restructuring plan that leaves little for unsecured creditors.


Judge Burton R. Lifland of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York issued an order Tuesday allowing the official committee of unsecured creditors to conduct a Rule 2004 investigation into the bankruptcy.
