Office Depot Settles Computer Warranty Class Action

Law360, New York (November 24, 2010, 5:28 PM EST) -- Office Depot Inc. has settled a lawsuit claiming it marketed and sold a fraudulent warranty plan for computers in violation of California business and warranty laws.


Judge Ronald M. Whyte of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California approved the settlement agreement Tuesday. The terms of the agreement were not disclosed, and calls to attorneys for the plaintiffs and Office Depot were not returned Wednesday.
