Clear Channel Wins Toss Of Station's Antitrust Suit

Law360, New York (November 29, 2010, 4:47 PM EST) -- Clear Channel Communications Inc. and two of its subsidiaries have won the dismissal of a radio station's $9.5 million suit accusing them and Arbitron Inc. of conspiring to quash industry competition.

Judge Keith Starrett of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi granted Clear Channel, Capstar TX Ltd. Partnership and Aloha Station Trust LLC's joint motion for judgment on the pleadings Wednesday, dismissing Mississippi station WZKX (FM)'s complaint without prejudice as to the three remaining defendants.
