Judge Revives Oil Rig Helicopter Price-Fixing Case

Law360, New York (December 1, 2010, 7:42 PM EST) -- A Delaware judge has agreed to reopen a putative class action accusing some of the largest providers of offshore helicopter services in the Gulf of Mexico of fixing prices for flights to oil rigs.

Judge Legrome D. Davis granted the defendants' motion to dismiss for failure to state a claim in September, but ordered the case reopened after the plaintiffs filed an amended complaint that included new evidence from a “confidential witness” to the alleged price-fixing scheme, according to Wednesday’s order in the U.S. District Court...
