Ex-Workers Hit Foreclosure Atty With WARN Action

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 4:23 PM EST) -- Ex-employees of Florida lawyer David J. Stern, who ran a reputed robo-signing foreclosure mill, have filed a class action accusing him of axing hundreds of employees en masse without proper warning.

A group of four employees filed suit against Stern in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida on Nov. 24, claiming his companies illegally eliminated 700 jobs without providing notice required under the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act.
