GSA Moves E-Mail System To Google's Cloud

Law360, New York (December 2, 2010, 6:11 PM EST) -- The U.S. General Services Administration has become the first federal agency to move to a cloud-based e-mail system after the government announced in November that it would move toward a "cloud-first" approach to information technology in its procurement practices.

The $6.7 million, five-year contract went to Unisys Corp., which has partnered with Google Inc., Tempus Nova Inc. and Acumen Solutions Inc., the GSA said on Wednesday.
