Lil Wayne Settles Suit Lodged By 'Lollipop' Producer

Law360, New York (December 6, 2010, 1:44 PM EST) -- Fresh out of prison after serving an eight-month sentence for gun charges, hip-hop superstar Dwayne Carter, known as Lil Wayne, has settled a breach of contract suit lodged by a Florida music producer over royalties generated by the hit song "Lollipop," which appeared on the album "Tha Carter III."

Music producer Jim Jonsin filed his complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York in April, seeking unpaid royalties from Carter, who was released from prison in November.
