Supreme Court Declines Dow Corning Appeal

Law360 (March 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The U.S. Supreme Court has refused to hear Dow Corning Corp.’s appeal of a circuit court ruling that threatened to add tens of millions of dollars in interest to debts it owes banks in a drawn-out Chapter 11 dispute.

The high court’s denial of the appeal on Monday was a boon to Dow Corning’s creditors, including investment bank Merrill Lynch & Co. Inc. and Bank of America Corp. The banks triggered the dispute in 2000 in federal court for the Eastern District of Michigan.
