Bertelsmann, EMI Strike Deal In Napster Feud

Law360 (March 27, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Signaling a possible end to the long-running Napster litigation, Bertelsmann AG has reached a settlement with the last major record label that had sued the German media giant in connection to its financial backing of the infamous file-sharing service.

On Monday, Bertelsmann and EMI Group jointly revealed that they had brokered an agreement in which the conglomerate will fork over an undisclosed sum to the label but admit no wrongdoing in the case.
