Huron To Pay $38M To End Inflated Earnings Suit

Law360, New York (December 6, 2010, 7:59 PM EST) -- Huron Consulting Group Inc. said Monday it has entered into a settlement agreement to pay $38 million to settle claims that it overstated its earnings by roughly $57 million.

Huron said a settlement class in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois would receive $27 million in cash — to be funded by the business consulting company's insurance carriers — and would also receive more than 474,000 shares of common stock worth more than $11 million.
