Law360, New York (December 8, 2010, 7:52 PM EST) -- The U.S. Government Accountability Office has thrown out ITW Military GSE's protest over a Department of the Navy contract that was awarded to DRS Environmental Systems, finding that preliminary discussions with the federal agency did not cost ITW a contract to provide shipboard and land-based air conditioners.
On Tuesday the GAO ruled that the Navy did not mislead ITW into losing its bid during preliminary discussions. According to the GAO, the agency was also reasonable in concluding that DRS provided the best value.
