Navy Officer, Contractor Cop To Bribery Scheme

Law360, New York (December 10, 2010, 5:54 PM EST) -- A retired U.S. Navy officer and the owner of Global Procurement Inc. have pled guilty to bribing service members to obtain lucrative contracts for military projects in Iraq.

Magistrate Judge Tommy E. Miller signed off on the plea agreements Tuesday in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia, ordering retired Lt. Cmdr. Frankie J. Hand Jr. and Michelle Adams to forfeit the proceeds from roughly $760,000 in crookedly acquired government contracts.
