Settlement OK'd In Wachovia Call Center OT Case

Law360 (December 13, 2010, 6:42 PM EST) -- A federal judge has given the green light to a class action settlement between Wachovia Financial Services Inc. and its workers at a California call center who accused the company of skimping on overtime pay and unlawfully denying them meal breaks.

The case, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, was resolved Thursday with Judge Claudia Wilken's approval of a $450,000 settlement between Wachovia and a class of about 105 full-time, hourly loan representatives in San Leandro, Calif., who alleged violations of California's labor law.
