Credit Suisse Escapes Claims In National Century MDL

Law360, New York (December 13, 2010, 8:48 PM EST) -- A federal judge on Monday tossed claims that Credit Suisse Securities LLC played a role in a Ponzi scheme perpetrated by health care lender National Century Financial Enterprises Inc., ruling that application of a state securities statute to the $2 billion in notes at issue would violate the commerce clause of the U.S. Constitution.
