Prosecutors Fight Dismissal Bid By Adelphia Execs

Law360, New York (December 14, 2010, 1:43 PM EST) -- Federal prosecutors have ripped a motion to dismiss a conspiracy charge against Adelphia Communications Corp. founder John Rigas and his son Timothy, saying the pair failed to make a credible argument that their Fifth and Sixth Amendment rights had been violated.

In a motion filed Monday in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, prosecutors asked Judge John E. Jones III to reject the Rigases' dismissal and discovery requests.
